Terms of sale

This shop is run by Srinivasa Rural Industries, trading as Vanasri, at Kankere Road, Balehonnur 577112, Chikkamagaluru District, Karnataka, India. We have made food here since 1987. You can reach us on WhatsApp at +91 63603 73757 or at vanasriproducts@gmail.com, Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm.

Prices are in Indian rupees. The price shown at checkout, with delivery added, is the price we charge you, and we will not add anything to it afterwards. We may change a price or a delivery charge at any time, but never on an order you have already placed.

Putting something in your basket does not reserve it. Your order is confirmed once your payment is confirmed, and that is the point at which we owe you a parcel. If something turns out to be out of stock after you have paid, we will tell you and refund that item in full rather than quietly send a substitute.

Our pickles are made by hand in small batches to traditional Malnad recipes. Colour and taste vary a little from batch to batch, and that is what handmade food does rather than a fault. Keep a jar closed, cool and dry, and out of the sun.

What delivery costs and how to follow an order is on our shipping page. When we will replace or refund a pack, and the 48-hour window for telling us about a damaged or wrong one, is on our returns page. Both are part of these terms.

One account belongs to one phone number. The one-time code we send is yours alone, and anything done by somebody you pass it to counts as done by you. We may close an account that is used to defraud us or to abuse the people who work here. We do not otherwise close accounts.

The product photography, recipes, and the writing on these pages belong to Srinivasa Rural Industries. You are welcome to share a link to any of it. Please ask before republishing it as your own.

Indian law applies, and the courts at Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction. Before it ever gets that far, please message us. In the history of this business almost nothing has needed more than a conversation.
